Release, Restore, Receive
A Lion’s Gate Portal Practice
The Lion’s Gate season arrives during the Sun’s passage through Leo and the seasonal return of Sirius, the brightest star in our night sky and an ancient symbol of renewal, illumination, and the return of life-giving waters.
In this 90-minute embodied ceremony, we will work with the energies of the Lion’s Gate through three movements: Release, Restore, and Receive.
We begin with gentle somatic movement before entering an active breathwork practice to loosen what has become stagnant, release what we are no longer meant to carry, and create space within the body, heart, and energetic field.
From there, we will restore our connection to the deeper ground of who we are through a shamanic walking meditation. Moving slowly and intentionally, we will practice walking in our sovereignty as the embodied remembrance of our wholeness. We will honor ourselves as multidimensional beings: body and soul, Earth and star, human and divine.
Finally, we become still enough to receive.
Within the spiritual tradition of the Lion’s Gate, Sirius is understood as a source of heightened light, wisdom, and evolutionary possibility. We will open to this stream as a sacred transmission, receiving whatever light, insight, remembrance, or energetic codes are appropriate for us now. Nothing will be forced. We will listen for what the body and soul are genuinely ready to welcome.
This is not a practice of striving to become someone else. It is an invitation to release what obscures your light, restore your relationship with your sovereign nature, and receive more fully the life that is already moving toward you.
Come prepared to move, breathe, walk, rest, and listen.
Please bring a yoga mat, water, a journal, and anything you would like to place on your altar. If you want to contribute to the group, you can also bring a snack to share after the ceremony.
No previous experience with breathwork, meditation, or shamanic practice is required.
